Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Get Paid App or our website at https://get-paid.app. By downloading the App or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Who We Are
The Get Paid App and website are owned and operated by SERENAI Ltd, trading as Get Paid App, registered in England and Wales, with our registered office in North London, United Kingdom.
References to “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to SERENAI Ltd. References to “you” or “your” refer to the individual or business using the App or website.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Get Paid App, or by accessing our website, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
- You are using the App for lawful business purposes only.
- You have read and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App or website.
2. The App and Services
Get Paid is a mobile invoicing application designed for self-employed individuals, sole traders, and small businesses. The App allows you to:
- Create, send, and manage invoices and quotes.
- Store customer and product information on your device.
- Track payments, mileage, and job timers.
- Generate reports and export data.
- Accept payments via third-party payment processors (Square, PayPal, Stripe).
We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features at any time, with or without notice.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
Free Trial
New users receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all Pro features. No payment is required during the trial period.
Paid Subscriptions
After the free trial, continued use of Pro features requires an active subscription:
- Monthly: £9.99 per month.
- Annual: £89.99 per year.
Billing
All subscriptions are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple’s Terms of Sale. We do not handle, store, or process your payment card details.
Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings or via My Account → Manage or Cancel Subscription within the App. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to Pro features until that date.
Refunds
All refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We are unable to issue refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will be communicated in advance and will not affect your current billing period.
4. Your Account and Data
Get Paid does not require you to create an account with us. All data you enter into the App — including invoices, customers, and business information — is stored locally on your device.
You are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining the accuracy of the information you enter.
- Keeping your device secure and backed up.
- Any data loss resulting from device failure, accidental deletion, or App removal.
We strongly recommend using the built-in backup feature regularly (Settings → Backup & Restore) to protect your data.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App and website only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the App to create fraudulent, misleading, or illegal invoices or documents.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App.
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems.
- Use the App to infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without our written permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user found to be in breach of these terms.
6. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with optional third-party services including Square, PayPal, and Stripe for payment processing. Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions, content, or policies of any third-party service.
Subscription billing is handled by Apple. Your use of the App Store is subject to Apple’s Terms and Conditions.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, trademarks, and materials associated with Get Paid — including the App, website, and all related documentation — are the intellectual property of SERENAI Ltd and are protected by UK and international copyright law.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for your own personal or business invoicing purposes. This licence does not permit you to copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the App or website.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App and website are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from bugs or viruses.
- The App will meet your specific business or accounting requirements.
- Any errors in the App will be corrected within a specific timeframe.
Get Paid is an invoicing tool and is not a substitute for professional accounting, legal, or financial advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SERENAI Ltd shall not be liable for any:
- Loss of data, revenue, profit, or business opportunity.
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- Losses arising from your reliance on the App for tax, legal, or financial decisions.
- Losses caused by third-party services connected to the App.
Our total liability to you in connection with the App shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
10. Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. By using the App, you confirm you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
All data you enter into the App is stored locally on your device. We do not access, store, or process your invoicing data on our servers.
11. Availability and Updates
We aim to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the App for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
We may release updates to the App from time to time. Some updates may be required for continued use. We recommend keeping the App updated to the latest version available on the App Store.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Any active subscription must be cancelled separately via your Apple ID account settings.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time if you breach these Terms of Service, without liability to you.
Upon termination, all data stored locally on your device remains under your control. We hold no copies of your data on our servers.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in the law, the App, or our business. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
Continued use of the App or website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you should stop using the App and cancel any active subscription.
